Bethany WaltonDirector of Operations
Bethany is our director of operations. She keeps things running from behind the scenes in the office upstairs. She is an Arizona native who moved to Tennessee in 2011. She studied at Pima Community College where she earned an associate’s degree in Business Administration. Bethany started at Carthage Family Chiropractic, LLC in April of 2019. Bethany is a wife and mother of two boys. She enjoys making cakes on the weekends in between football games and dirt track races.
Emily HootCTA and CLT
Emily Hoot is a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant (CTA) and a Certified Lymphatic Therapist (CLT) at Carthage Family Chiropractic. She was born in Carthage but her parents were missionaries and moved to the Dominican Republic with Emily and her six brothers and two sisters. She and her family returned to the United States in 2011. Emily has been working for Carthage Family Chiropractic, LLC since January of 2019. Emily enjoys outdoor activities, traveling and spending time with her big family.
Haley PenfieldMarketing Director
Haley is a Midwest native with roots also in Arizona. She has since landed in the wonderful green hills of Smith County with her husband Evan and dog Doozy. Haley graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2018 and started working at Carthage Family Chiropractic, LLC in February 2022. Haley enjoys swimming, rock climbing, and anything outdoors.
Bren DenneyFront Desk Team Member
Bren is married to her best friend Austin and they have two amazing children. She grew up in Smith County and loves being close to all of her family. Bren is always ready for an adventure. She loves the ocean and going to the mountains.
Karen WilliamsCPC and Billings Manager
Karen is a native Tennessean, having grown up in Wilson County. She moved to Smith County in 2015 and met Dr. Cripps as a patient for treatment after a car accident. Karen graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1988 and has worked in healthcare for over 30 years in various roles. She is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and handles our billing and insurance issues. She is a former Search and Rescue K9 handler, has two grown children, and a new role as grandmother. She loves to travel, but Tennessee will always be home.
Gus CrippsOffice Dog
Gus is a German Shepherd. He is a part of our office staff. His daily schedule includes greeting patients, accepting treats, and taking naps. He loves all patients and children.
